Position Title- Speech Language Pathologists- Home Care

Positions are available in Covington and Norfolk. Reports to the team coordinator.  Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and accurately provides Speech Therapy (SLP) evaluations, develops and implements SLP treatment plans; provides education and information to patients and caregivers; participates in required discharge planning and completes all required documentation according to policy.  The SLP supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by rehab aides.
May be assigned other duties such as clinical instructor for student affiliations, performance improvement, and program development.

Must have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Speech Language Pathology and appropriate course work in speech and audiology. And must have current licensure in the state of Virginia. Other requirements include BLS completion within 3 months of hire.  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to operate and apply therapeutic equipment; ability to lift/push/pull light to heavy equipment, supplies, and patients; creativity and problem solving skills.


Bottom Line

2.  Current licensure in the state of Virginia (or transferrable from another state).
3.  BLS completion within 3 months of hire.
